Pictured right is a Fagor 8055 CNC control recently fitted to a Union BFT borer. The system was fitted in place of an older unit and was integrated with new AC servo motors and drives, with axis switching and retention of original clamping systems.

The PLC program and CNC are equipped with meaningful error messages which the operator and site service personnel can utilize to fault find quickly and easily.

Not that fault finding is any longer a big issue such is the reliability of the new equipment which also replaced the entire machine electrical control system!!
